Reaching Goals with Heavy Hearts!
Good to see you again, degenerates!
Its time to go over how the game is coming, and when to expect the next update.
I am proud to announce that I believe I am going to achieve my goal of releasing the game quarterly: Version 0.5.2 released in March, and I think I am on track to complete this update in the First Half of June. I'm going to call the update 0.5.5 Furry.
With that said, I am upgrading each superboss to have a scene after them. Similar to the Slime King in the previous update, The Final Boss of the Arena, Orcosaurus, is getting the next one. I imagine The Arcane Golem will be after that.
Here is a list of currently implemented updates that you will see in 0.5.5 Furry:
- Luccia's talking portrait has been seriously upgraded. She is now EXTREMELY more expressive and I think It makes her character much more likeable. She has over 14 new poses and expressions to show you how she feels.
- Orcosaurus gets an animated scene
- Additional animated content was added to the first Lorestone sequence.
- There are now Traps littered throughout exploration and Combat. In Combat, there is a small chance that non-boss enemies will drop a Mimic chest that will ensnare Luccia and prevent her from fighting for a short time. In exploration, there may be some things that grab her in a similar manner.
- When rescuing Luccia, there is now a short animated cutscene.
- The final level, Colonia, now has a Lorestone Scene. The entire thing is evented, I am just waiting on some of the animated content to be complete. This is the reason why it is called 0.5.5 Furry.
- There is now a short cutscene when interacting with the first save distortion.
-Button cues added to the main front menu to help people who start the game and can't figure out what buttons to press.
-Organic text-skipping. This should show more respect for player's time - especially for those that have already played through the game.
-Fixed an issue where Dog would spawn instead of Luccia after L7 Lorestone
-Fixed a transition problem when trying to go directly to the world map from the grove
-Fixed problem when attempting to go up the mountain with Luccia rescued
-Fixed issue where returning to the world map froze the game from certain levels
-Modified text display during some H scenes. Will modify the other H scene's text display to match it over time.
-Added attack detection to one of the Glithe's that couldn't be attackedAnimation notes
- Enemies no longer finish their attack before dying if their HP reaches 0 mid-attack.
-Fixed issues with font display in languages other than english.
- Changed Rhed's healing animation
-Fixed a problem that caused the Arcane Golems music to not play
-Fixed an issue with research logs not displaying properly at the cave level.
- Fixed a softlock bug in the optional Wolf platformer
Still to come:
-Finish the Colonia Lorestone H Scene. This will contain multiple images and animations (so far, that is 3 Static and 4 animations. Very excited for this one.
-Upgrade Priscilla and Vivi's talking portrait
- Actually put Vivi content in the game
- Add Orc trap for explorations
- Airship is complete, but won't be accessible (there's no content in it yet)
And that is all for now!
Understand that this is the final update for the first half of the game.
Everything after this will be 2nd part content, and we are going to take a much different direction with it! I think it will be much more simpler for everyone to appreciate.
