End of May Roundup!

This is a progress update. The game build available has not been updated. Please see release window below to see when 0.5.5 Furry will be released.

Thank you for another awesome month of gamedev support! The game Is coming along nicely and I am pretty sure those who have said that the game needs more CONTENT are going to be super happy with the news today. In this post I'm going to show you what is happening: Some works in progress, the entire changelog so far, and a release window: Some major updates I want to cover: Luccia's conversational portrait now has a major update. She is now much more expressive. She has multiple poses and facial expression (even costumes, but more on that later) The portrait is still 100% hand drawn by Cheka, but is layered so we can even remove her clothing for certain scenes.

Here are some examples of what I mean. Her emotions are 1000% better conveyed to the player, and people can even better see her goofy, and sometimes lewd personality.

----

Combat now has a significant update. I was growing frustrated that the combat didn't have anything lewd in it. I struggled with the idea for awhile, but now decided to add Mimic chests to the mix. There is a small chance that the treasures dropped by enemies actually contain Mimics now. They are enjoyable for Luccia -- but she will be immobilized until she is done, and enemies will keep attacking! I've also updated the UI. For players that forget the buttons to push, there is now proper button feedback.

(I am very VERY sorry about the censoring in this image. Please understand as I cope with policy) I've also added a proper Leveling system, so Luccia can grow stronger as she fights. More on this in the changelog. --- SUPERBOSSES My new goal is to add animations at the end of each Superboss fight! In this update, Orcosaurus finally gets some love. Next will be the Arcane Golem, but do not expect that one to be ready in time for 0.5.5

---

There are some scenes in the game that required some SFW interludes, in order to convey the story better (there was a lot left up to interpretation and I don't think that was any good).

So, I asked Cheka to draw some interludes that help the story along.

While it won't be in 0.5.5, I can assure you that Vivi content is coming too.

---

Release window: 0.5.5 FURRY June 15-30th. As always, please adjust expectations because I now have people to help be bugtest (doing it myself really didn't work out) and they are much better at finding things than I am. I want to do my best to give you a product that isn't buggy, but delivering on that isn't always easy.

Changelog:

0.5.5 FURRY

Lewd Changes:

- Defeating Orcosaurus now rewards the player with a full lewd animation. In the future, all superbosses will get a lewd animation.

- Expanded the Grove Zone Lorestone animation sequence. Another full animation has become part of the scene and some of the dialogue has been updated. An alternate of this animation was added to Zone 9, where Dog rescues Luccia.

- Combat just got hotter, as now non-boss enemies have a change of dropping a Mimic instead of a Treasure. The mimic will ensnare Luccia, delaying her attacks. If she stays ensnared too long, she will stagger. There are 4 mimic animation in total.

- There is now a plant trap in the Bridge Zone. It can trap Luccia in place.

- Finished Felix's questline in the Cave zone. The ending includes a lewd pixel scene.

Major Changes:

- Luccia's character portrait now has over 14 poses, and uses them freqeuntly throughout the game. She is much more animated, goofy and relatable to the player with her nonverbal communications.

- Luccia now gains levels with experience. This should make the game much easier. Max level is 5, and adds small incrememnts to HP, Poise, Min/MaxAtk, Min/MaxMag Atk. HP also restores when leveling up in the middle of combat. Player also only has 2 Orbs at Level 1.

- Luccia can now attack-cancel, allowing for easier blocking.

- Save Logic now allows for save-slot selection. Sorry this took so long!

- Visual Key Feedback are now visible on the Combat menu.

- Buffs are reconfigured. Player can obtain an ATB Charge rate buff (max 30%), a A poise Charge rate (max 30%), and a Starting Charged orb buff based on certain criteria. Old buffs are gone.

Minor Changes:

- Fixed issue where returning to the world map froze the game from certain levels

- Enemies no longer finish their attack animation before dying.

- Fixed font display issues when in languages other than english.

- Fixed issue that caused softlocking when saying "no" to the marker challenge in Zone 5.

- Visual upgrade to Shade enemies in the Marker Challenge.

- Fixed an issue where HP Hit numbers continually appeared over Luccia's head when she had an HP buff in certain situations.

- Main Menu now has key queues to help players see what buttons are pressable.

- Fixed an issue where Dog would spawn instead of Luccia after L7 Lorestone

- Fixed an issue where Arcane Golem boss music did not play

- Fixed a transition problem when trying to go directly to the world map from the grove

- Fixed an issue with Research Logs text in the cave

- Added transparency to the Journal log when closed

- Fixed problem when attempting to go up the mountain with Luccia rescued

- Added attack detection to one of the Glithe's that couldnt be attacked

- All enemies (but especially some of the Orcs) had their attack patterns and HP modified to be less challenging.

- Changed behavior of Magic attacks to be affected by player Min/Max Mag Attack

- Fixed softlocking problem in the Wolf platforming minigame.

- Superbosses now drop Rarity 5 items.

- Tiny changes to Rhed's healing animation.

- Replaced the Interlude images for skipping minigames with hand drawn images (not lewd, but story focused)

- Reduced the size of the Orc Threshing area by 1/3 and the Cave zone also by 1/3. Overly large map sizes are a drag.

- Changed Treasure Chest RNG:

Rarity1: 90% Chest1 // 10% Chest2

Rarity2: 20% Chest1 // 70% Chest2 // 10% Chest3

Rarity3: 15% Chest1 // 35% Chest2 // 40% Chest3 // 10% Chest4

Rarity4: 5% Chest1 // 15% Chest2 // 50% Chest3 // 30% Chest4

Rarity5: No RNG, will give the player 1 controlled item.

Each chest has an even 20% chance to spawn one of 5 items

Rarity 1-3 chests have a probability of giving the player multiples of the found item.

Chest 1: Beast Bone / Fairy Wing / Azulcryst / Roc Feather / Flower + 5-8 Coins

Chest 2: Achalamity Leaf / Plummers Shroom / Drake Scales / Drake Egg / Eggplant + 10-16 Coins

Chest 3: Beast Meat / Futt Bruit / Black Pearl / Rubicite / Verdecite + 25-35 Coins

Chest 4: Divinity / Cobalt / Pumicite / Bloodcryst / Galecryst + 41 -60 Coins

This is looking amazing, I can't wait to play this once it releases! A lot of the issues I had with the gameplay have been genuinely addressed, I'm super happy about this. If you have a bug reporting portal I'll be happy to contribute to bugtesting in a more direct way, else I'll continue to do my part here. Amazing work as usual, dammitbird!

thanks dude!

Please join the discord, it's where I do most of my communication and recieve bug feedback. I also read player comments wherever I see them... but discord is always the best

This is looking like it’s going to be a JUICY update. Can’t wait
